Simple math I guess. Decisions you make today affect tomorrow. Seems simple enough doesn't it? I mean we've heard that all our lives, choices made today whether right or wrong determine tomorrow. If you've lived long enough to be reading this you know with absolute truth, this statement is 100% accurate in every area of our lives. Today we begin our new series "I want a New Marriage" and before any of you think WOW Pastor K is an advocate for divorce allow me to explain. I'm certainly not naive enough to think divorce doesn't happen, the heart breaking truth is that it happens every day to good people. I KNOW that God can heal, change, deliver, restore and set free however sometimes it simple doesn't happen due to choices made.
Quick example: Men you talk negatively to your wife, say mean and hurtful things, decide to leave and not return for a while, avoiding your cell phone and not telling her where you went, you'll most likely be in the "Dog House". It was a result of a choice you made. This "I want a new marriage" mentality is ALL about allowing God to change your heart, speak to your spirit and bring much needed change into your life. Don't get caught up in God changing your spouse, most often its you that needs the change. God tells us in Joel 2:25 "So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.
Be RESPONSIBLE for you, Be COMMITTED to each other. Choose words and actions that bring life, not death!
