Three Words

Three words.

Often one of the hardest things to do: Let it go.

I've been wondering here lately why I've been plagued with so many chances to get upset. Being hurt is hard to deal with sometimes, but God asks us to simply let it go.  Forgiveness has been freely given to us and so we are obligated to freely give it to others.  So many times we think "they don't deserve to be forgiven." But in all actuality, the forgiveness isn't for them, it's for US.   When we just simply let that situation, that pain, that person, let those things go we are giving God a chance to do a mighty work. We are saying to God that he can be the ultimate judge of it and He can have control.   I know that Satan wants nothing more than to split up the body of Christ.  When we are upset at someone, we tend to let that hurt or offense come between our relationship with them.   If we are the body of Christ, shouldn't we all be working together? A properly functioning physical body has to be able to communicate between the different parts.  What if your brain couldn't talk to your legs?  What if the heart stopped beating and didn't send blood to the rest of the body?  It would be dysfunctional and wouldn't be able to accomplish anything.  It is the same way in the church. We are the body of Christ and we must remain in constant connection.  I'm praying today that the church can embrace forgiveness and truly come to the place where we Let it Go.
