Day 6 .. What's leading you? 1 Samuel 13
If you've ever led a group of people then you understand the pressures that come with leadership. Saul was under a lot of pressure leading the people into battle. He had been given specific instructions on how to proceed however he felt compelled to offer the burnt offering himself instead of worshiping the Lords way. Saul chose to proceed how he saw fit, this was a major mistake and cost him the anointing as king. No matter what your gut or instincts may be telling you, the Holy Spirit will NEVER tell you to operate outside the will of God to get things done. As leaders we must always follow the guiding and leading of the Lord, if we don't we can remove God's covering off our lives and the lives of those we are leading.
Ask the Holy Spirit to guide and prompt your actions and direction. (Psalm 37:23"The steps of a righteous man are ordered by God") Help us to always choose your ways over our ways, desires and agenda. (Isaiah 55:9"His ways are higher than our ways, thoughts higher than our thoughts")
